BERLIN. KAZINFORM - Asset Issekeshev, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Industry and New Technologies, during his working visit to Berlin has met with the leadership of major economic associations of Germany.
The round table was attended by the executive director of the Eastern Committee of German Economy Rainer Lindner, chairman of the Association for economic cooperation with the countries of Eastern and Central Europe Marcus Felzner and co-chairman of the German- Kazakh Business Council for Strategic Cooperation Peter Tils.
During the talks, the head of the Kazakh delegation informed the attendees about the prospects for further enhancement of the Kazakh-German cooperation in economic, trade, raw materials, industrial, technological and investment fields.

Asset Issekeshev talked about the main provisions of the President's Address to the people of Kazakhstan "Kazakhstan's way - 2050: common goal, common interests, common future" as well as the current socio-economic development of Kazakhstan, the future plans of the Kazakh Government aimed at modernization and industrialization of the domestic economy.

In turn, the representatives of the German side stated that Kazakhstan, due to favorable investment climate, strong economic growth, rich reserves of natural resources as well as the policies pursued by the leadership of the country, is a very attractive market for German business. In this regard, they expressed their willingness to further promote and strengthen economic partnership between the two states.

The Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations was founded in 1952. It is a joint organization of the leading associations representing German business. It is supported by the Federation of German Industries (BDI), the Association of German Banks (BdB), the German Insurance Association (GDV), the Foreign Trade Association of the German Retail Trade (AVE), as well as the German Confederation of Skilled Crafts (ZDH). Membership of the Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations is open to companies with interests in Russia, Central and Eastern Europe, South-East Europe, the Caucasian Republics and Central Asia.

Association for Economic Cooperation with Central and Eastern Europe (OMV) was founded in 1989 on the initiative of the German Federal Ministry of Economy, it unites the interests of German companies , mainly small and medium-sized businesses, cooperating with the countries of Central and Eastern Europe and the CIS. The Association is an original platform for the efficient information exchange and economic cooperation between member firms and foreign partners.
